Eats.

I have a new hero food, and empanada is it's name.

Our budget is tight, and we'd planned to cook often in our rented apartment. If you could see this kitchen, or smell it, or handle the rudimentary "cookware" under the shelves, you'd understand that this is quite impossible. So while we've got breakfast covered w. toast and yogurt and cookies (heretofore known as the breakfast of Champions), lunch and dinner must be sought on the Outside.

Luckily, lunch is not an issue due to the cheap wonder that is the Argentinian empanada. Delicious and presented in countless varieties, they have made lunch a thrifty delight. We like them with hot sauce (we like everything with hot sauce). The cheesy ones in particular are drip-tastic and wonderful.

But what about dinner?
Dining here does presents a problem for your humble author as red meat dominates every menu. I don't eat the stuff. However, if it was once covered in feathers, its going in my belly. If it had scales, I'll eat the hell out of it. And squiddies, I can't get enough of those tasty little tube socks of the sea. But mammals, that's where I must abstain. Being a mammal means it once had a mother that lurved it ( hi mom!) so, for love reasons, I haven't chomped a cow, piggie or goat in more than a decade. Chances are, sad to say, once we leave the city for the wild pampas, my choices my be limited to cows, or what the cow is eating. But for now, there are delicious stuffed doughy pockets to be had, and lots of wine. All is well.
